Oluyemi Oluwapelumi Peace, (1997)

Oluyemi Oluwapelumi Peace (b. 1997) is a contemporary artist from Osun state but currently practices in Ibadan, Oyo State where she was born.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from the Federal University of Akure. Oluwapelumi works with oil, charcoal and graphite. She uses a contemporary approach in her portrait paintings, using the Italian method for a strong physical appearance. The characters within Oluwapelumi’s work are real beings with an undeniable sense of self, in that they exhibit all nuanced manifestations of individuals navigating the reality of the everyday: from sadness and joy, to curiosity and contentment.
