Hamed Maiye

Hamed Maiye (b, 1991) is an interdisciplinary artist based in London. He received his Bachelor honors in Architecture from Canterbury School of Architecture (UCA). Maiye explores cultural anthropology through the use of mythology, Yoruba philosophy, historical documentation & archiving which influence the production of his work. Maiye's work presents viewers with allegorical scenarios used to invoke introspection, emotional reflections.

He’s participated in group exhibitions such as Stretching the Light, Rele Gallery, London 2024, Following the body, Fragment gallery, New York, 2023, Harlesden High Street, Frieze London 2023,Libations for Those in Limbo, Cambridge University, 2023. Solo exhibitions such as Fertility of the Shadow, Harlesden High Street 2022. He has also been Artists in residences at the PM/AM, Sarabande foundation, Art’otel, Good eye projects.
